Great movie honestly. It was pretty cool. But what bugged me more than anything? For one the obvious FCA sponsorship, but I guess we have to expect that from literally every movie now. Warning: sort of spoiler picture below.
But no the least believable part of the movie was when Murph swerved her Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon off of a road, and some one on the special effects team took the time to insert a tire screeching noise. A rubber burning “eeerrrr” noise, On a dirt road, where no such noise would occur. The movie took the time to show you the vast silentness of space, but didn’t use the right sound for a car veering off a dirt road. HOW? Well I guess it is science fiction.
Also this might be the least helpful graph in the history of graphs.

I saw it in IMAX 70mm. It’s a film that grows on you after you watch it and just think about it. Plan on seeing Dunkirk in the same format on Monday (and Atomic Blonde Tuesday).

It is possible to make a tire squeal on dirt if you have enough traction.

Pretty sure there’s a statute of limitations on spoilers, so you’re good. I liked the movie, but just like Inception it wasn’t that damn hard to follow. Nobody needs a flowchart for these movies, just pay attention!

I’ve done a lot of miles on dirt. Cant recall ever hearing a tire squeal

Not even on clay or slick rock? It’s pretty rare but it happens.

Gargantua has been confirmed by astronomers as being the most realistic depiction of a black hole according to how we think they’d actually look.

I liked it enough. I figured out almost immediately that the bookshelf was Cooper himself from the future trying to signal something.
Also, foley artists.

Yup hard packed sections. Usually near intersections.

I very much enjoyed Interstellar because it’s a rare, accurate portrayal of time dilation.

I’ve only ever had it spinning a tire against a rock.

Dunkirk looks fantastic. I’m definitely going to see it in IMAX 2D.

This is no time for caution.
That docking scene though.

The score of the film is a solid 11/10.

I got that pretty soon as well, but it’s such a long movie it was almost rewarding, rather than disappointing that I saw the plot twist coming, and guessed right

It happens on clay ovals. If the conditions are right, those cars are burning rubber by the end of the night. You can hear the tires screech a bit, but it’s usually drowned out by the engine noise.

The first part of the movie was filmed here in southern Alberta. My wife and I were going to try to apply to be extras, but it was right when we were going on or honeymoon.

These sponsorship deals are nothing new. I was rewatching Matrix Reloaded the other day and noticed for the first time that almost every single car in the highway chase scene was made by some division of GM.

If you’ve ever watched a serious off road RC race on clay or anything that packs at all, you’d know that they will definitely squeal and it is often quite loud.

Kudos to you, I enjoyed it, but I’m too simple to understand that movie

I think they should have ended it in the black hole. I don’t remember the exact details but the ending bit on the space station kinda ruined it for me.

That Araura tho. Also they do that movie thing where cars don’t have head rests.

It’s a bunch of theoretical gobbledegook any who. People who say “it’s so scientifically accurate” don’t understand that difference between theory and fact. It’s sci-fi that is all. It’s
